One killed in blast at Belgian sports centre: Reports


Brussels, Aug 26 (IANS): At least one person was killed and four other injured in an explosion at a sports centre in the southern Belgian city of Chimay early on Friday, local media reported.

Part of the building at the "Le Chalon" sports centre was destroyed by the blast, which occurred shortly after midnight, Xinhua quoted L'Avenir newspaper as saying.

According to the report, the cause of the blast was still unknown, but a gas explosion was suspected.
