Kasargod: Three arrested for gang rape on girl taking treatment at hospital

Kasargod, Aug 27: Kasargod police, on Friday August 26, arrested three persons for the rape of a girl who had come for treatment at Kasargod government general hospital.

Kishore (29), K M Manjunath (34) And M K Anil Kumar (32) are the persons arrested.

As per details of the case, the girl was had come to the hospital for consultation on August 22 due to stomach pain. As she could not return home at night, she stayed at the hospital with a woman. During this time, temporary worker at the hospital Kishore met and talked to her. Next morning on August 23, Kishore told her that he was going to Kanhangad and would drop her on the way. He took her in a rickshaw from the hospital. On the way other two accused joined. All the three took her to a lodge and raped her, the girl said in the complaint.

After that they dropped her at KSRTC bus stand by auto and fled. When the girl became unwell the flowing day and was taken to Kanhangad hospital, it was discovered that she had been raped. DySP Sukumaran with his personnel arrested the accused. Kishore’s telephone number stored in girl’s mobile phone helped in tracing Kishore and his friends.

Kasargod police are investigating. The girl aged 18 is a Dalit.
