Udupi, Aug 29 : Vice –principal of TMA Pai polytechnic college in Manipal had allegedly sexually harassed a lecturer on Saturday, Aug 27 and the students are protesting demanding the dismissal of him.
Srikanth Pai is the vice-principal. He hails from Kundapur.

As per details he went to the staff room on Saturday and allegedly sexually harassed the lecturer. She shouted for help and some people rushed and saved her.
On the same day, a case was registered at Manipal police station.
Students on Monday boycotted classes demanding the dismissal of Srikanth.
Srikanth is yet to be arrested.
Ranga Pai, the head of the college speaking to media said that Srikanth has been already suspended. "We have already started the process of internal enquiry. We will also consult the legal experts as the students are demanding dismissal. Soon we will resolve the matter. Action will be initiated as per law. We will cooperate with the police."
Students have said that they would not enter classes until Srikanth is dismissed. There are 932 students in the college.
Some sources said that Srikanth was head of the department in which the lecturer worked and had been sending unnecessary messages to her mobile phone.
Some said that Srikanth had misbehaved with girls in two previous instances.
Manipal police were seen in the campus.
