Udupi: Belle PDO Benny Quadros suspended for dereliction of duty

Udupi, Aug 30: Zilla Panchayat (ZP) CEO Priyanka Mary Francis has suspended Belle Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) Benny Quadros on Monday August 29, for dereliction of duty.

Belle grama panchayat president Ranjani Hegde had complained to the ZP CEO that Benny Quadros was acting in a dictatorial manner and was talking decisions without consulting the concerned persons. She had asked to subject Benny Quadros to enquiry.

With the consent from the department, an enquiry was initiated and the enquiry team found some prima facie evidence to prove the allegations.

Benny Quadros is allegedly involved in many irregularities concerning site distribution, procurement of materials, 9/11 documents distribution, closing the road access to the house of john Sequeira etc, as per the report submitted to ZP CEO by the investigation team.

Benny Quadros has been suspended before also. She had earlier served as PDO in Yellur village panchayat.

The suspension remains until further orders.

    She deserves for her attitude. But actually this punishment she got not for attitude. Shivaji s Suvarna who is ex. President of belle grama panchayat, currently member of the panchayat as well president of co-operative so city, is not paying tax for his commercial building as well mobile network tower's from last 15 year's. Benny quadras who taken a strict action on this and charged him all the dues, which effected her and become reason for suspension. Kaup MLA may be helped shivaji behind the screen.
    Any way she tried to do something better and got something the best.

    He got 'Satyanarayana Punje' on 2004 election day...after he attacked a BJP activist called John Fernandes from Belle(who became ZP member later on)...for next 9 years he was folding his tail behind his legs...after 2013 elections his tail started curling back again...

    It is bad that once chosen to serve People ,nd misuse the authority ,certainly People know to help nowadays.One should realize and ashame for it.when she doesnt say sorry and does same as before,a margine is drawn.Why did sh not realied her fault as she did before?On the other Hand instead of suspending from duty a warning would be better.when she does further suspending is not to avoid.Hope she realized her mistake.

    This had to happen and she deserves it! She is rude and rough! She makes elderly and oldies wait for hours and pattanga on mobile!!! Most people immaterial of religion dislike her due to arrogant attitude and behavior!! Hope no village gets a PDO of her caliber!

    If she has done wrong, need to take action and bring it to the notice of general public. if not reveal the real agenda.

    Training /induction should be made mandatory for all elected people like all employees get during initial stage of the job in any MNC.
    Check list to be prepared and signed by their superiors before they take any actions/ decisions.

    She thought that she could use the minority card in the Cong regime and get away with any kind of bullshit. Like Jacintha Alfred the rubber stamp mayor this lady too is just a marketing tool of the Cong to show 'secularism' and fool minorities. So in the tenure these corrupt and dumb officials make money. I guess this lady did not know to play her cards well and authority went into her head and started showing off. Lets hope the authorities rim her. I also pray that no organization like BD, PFI come to streets protesting.
