Mangalore, Dec 10: This is a Christmas season and the ‘White Doves’ which serves for the needy and downtrodden people has welcomed Christmas by spreading the message of Jesus Christ in various parts of the district, this week.

The White Doves team consisting of about 100 members performed a play which enacted the preaching of Jesus Christ. The team performed a play at Nehru Maidan on Sunday, December 9 evening, which caught the attention of thousands of viewers.

The enactment of Peter, most trusting Apostle of Jesus who casts his fishing net by trusting Jesus Christ, the distinction between Lazarus, the poor and a rich man, the strong will power of Jesus Christ which could even calm the storms and whirlwind, etc,  along with melodious singing really touched the heart of thousands of viewers.

And finally the Santa Claus arrived at the scene. The kids, who were present on the ground, really enjoyed these moments and rushed towards the stage to get a close look of him. Meanwhile, Santa Claus didn’t forget to distribute chocolates to the kids.

The White Doves team also enacted similar mobile shows at Moodbidri, Vamanjoor, Uppinangady, Puttur and near Kadri Park this time. This organization has been spreading message of Jesus Christ, in the district, since 13 years.

The White Doves team led by Corrine Rasquinha, Alwyn D’Souza and others, didn’t forget to tell the audience to spread love and warmth to the old and sick who are longing for love and compassion.

Congrats on a job more than well done! - to everyone who organised the programme, who participated in it, and those who made it happen. I've watched the Dec 10th report on the show and the carols were sung very well. From what I've seen everyone has put in 100%, including the little dog! Looking forward to seeing further video clips!

Dear Ivan, Thanks for the appreciation. Well all the songs for the skit part were in kannada and only 5 carols were done in English and White Doves is basically an English choir group. However, we need to cater to all the peoples choices. We cannot mix too many languages and make a gadbad of it.Thanks again.

Corrine and her team need to be complimented for all the good works and for the wonderful show. It would have been more appropriate if shows of this type are also presented during the Lenten seasan as the message of love and compassion towards mankind would have reached a wider section of the people.

It would have been more apt if the singing was done in kannada, konkanni and other regional languages rather than english. May God Bless Corrine and Vitus for all the good things they do in and around Mangalore.
