Udupi, Sep 10: A bus conductor lost his job due to his unbearable behaviour with females. After the police warned him to behave properly and the bus owner told him to pack up, he has gone to his native place without any options.
Vijay from north Karnataka region is the bus conductor.
As per details, Vijay was employed as a substitute for the city bus plying in Udupi. People had witnessed Vijay flirting in the open at Laxmi Nagar near Garadimajal and beaten him up on Monday September 5. As it was a holiday due to Chaturthi, Vijay had induced a girl and taken her into the bushes nearby. The locals who saw a bike parked for a long time grew suspicious and went to the spot. Vijay and the girl found nude near the bushes. Upon seeing this, the people manhandled Vijay.
Vijay lived in the vicinity of an educational institute run by a prestigious businessman near Kidiyoor. He was caught in similar cases in the past. He had pretended to be in love with a girl student and deserted her after developing physical relationship. He was thrashed near Kadekar for this and had fled from Udupi. He returned after some time and continued his vice. There were complaints of harassment against him from women in buses. He used to wink at women, touch them and give them his mobile number. However no action was taken against him as nobody lodged any police complaint.
City bus employees and owners knew about his behavior but were quiet as there were no witnesses. Now after he was caught red-handed, people informed about Vijay to Malpe police station. Police called and warned him. The bus owner said he is not needed in his bus anymore. Hence Vijay has left for his hometown.
