Mangalore: Moideen Bava, I Rama Rai Bag ‘Dubai Green Star Award’

Mangalore, Dec 14: B A Moideen Bava, a prominent entrepreneur and president of district Congress minority wing and I Rama Rai, former MP of Kasargod, have been chosen by Dubai Green Star Committee for ‘Dubai Green Star Award’07’.

Dubai Manjeshwaram Mandalam Green Star Committee based in United Arab Emirates (UAE), announced the award, in recognition of their yeoman's service to the social sphere in Northern Kerala and Dakshina Kannada (DK) districts.  B A Moideen Bava, will be honoured with ‘Outstanding Achievement Award’ for his exemplary service in social sphere and for entrepreneurship while I Rama Rai, will be honoured with ‘Life-time Achievement Award’ for his distinguished service in social and political sphere, in Kasargod district, for the past 5 decades.  

Golden Abdul Khader, president, Manjeshwar Block Panchayat and K M Abbas, eminent Malayalam journalist, were chosen for Kumbla political leader the late S A Khader Memorial Award.

The awards will be conferred during ‘Snehasamarpan’08’ programme which will be held at Kasargod, in February 2008, stated Ashraf Karle, Shahool Hameed Tangal, V K M Ashraf and V K Arif, office-bearers of committee, in a press release.
