Prachanda accorded ceremonial welcome


New Delhi, Sep 16 (IANS): Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda" was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhawan here on Friday.

Prachanda, who arrived here on Thursday on a four-day state visit, was received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

"Ceremonial honours for a neighbour! PM Narendra Modi receives Nepal PM Pushpa Dahal 'Prachanda' on his state visit," Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Vikas Swarup, tweeted.

Prachanda, who was elected as the Prime Minister on August 4, was invited by Modi to visit India. He is accompanied by his wife Sita Dahal.
