Swamy believes he will be a better FM than Jaitley

New Delhi, Sep 17 (PTI): BJP leader Subramanian Swamy believes he will be a better Finance Minister than the incumbent Arun Jaitley. "I am an economist. He is a lawyer. How can he be better than me?" Swamy, whose antagonism for Jaitley is open, said at an event here today.

Swamy was replying to a query on whether he will make a better Finance Minister than Jaitley at the India Today Mind Rocks Summit. Swamy's relentless criticism of former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan was also seen as indirect attack on Jaitley.

The reply came following AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi's comment that inflation would have been in check had Swamy been the Finance Minister. "There has been a fight between southern Brahmins and northern Brahmins for long," Swamy later quipped.

On being asked by the moderator whether BJP has imposed a gag on him, Swamy took again a jibe at Jaitley, saying, "There is no gag order on me. Your problem is that you talk to Jaitley a lot."

    The BJP’s maverick leader and Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy has unpinned yet another grenade on Reserve Bank of India (RBI) governor Raghuram Rajan, when he alleged that Rajan has planted a bomb in the financial system that’ll explode later this year.

    By taking his order PM Modi replaced RBI governor with another 'Patel' who is also a board member of multi billion dollar fraud of Gujarat refinery.

    Former Reserve Bank Deputy Public sector banks have written off Rs 1,14,000 crore in the last three years, as reported in The Indian Express on February 8, based on a response by the Reserve Bank of India to an RTI application.Governor Dr K C Chakrabarty says technical write-offs by banks is a “scam” and should be stopped.

    Another political appointment. Dirty politics is going to downward spiral the economy into recession.

    It seems Swamy is looking President post which is falling vacant after Mr.Mukherjee exit.

    Nice to be positive in thinking but Swamy will be a disaster for the Indian nation. For an early collapse of the NDA Government then it is a wise decision to make him the FM. Right now he is the anchor for FM RADIO doing the spoil sport for NDA.

    This govt is failed to curb inflation due to weak finance minister.
    When the UPA is in power infaltaion is not so high although its coalition government(Thanks to Mr.Mukherji & PM Mr.Singh) but this govt is not a coalition govt they have a more then majority in the parliament but they cannot control the inflation reason is no strong decisions to control the inflation.

    Swamy is a crooked fox and Modi is aware of it...Swamy should realise one thing "when duffers like Smriti Irani can get HRD(now changed)Why he has no made to the cabinet...Swamy dosent have any ethics...Modi is just using Swamy against Gandhi's...
