Army chief reaches Srinagar


Srinagar, Sep 18 (IANS): Indian Army chief Gen Dalbir Singh arrived here on Sunday afternoon on his way to the army camp in Uri where militants killed 17 soldiers early in the morning.

Gen Singh will take stock of the security situation at army installations and camps near the Pakistan border in Jammu and Kashmir and the alertness of the soldiers along the Line of Control (LoC).
