Telangana: Speeding car hits man, drives 3 kms with body on roof

Sep 21 (Agencies): In a shocking incident in Telangana's Mahbubnagar, a speeding car hit a man and travelled around three kilometres with his body on its roof before it was stopped by locals on Monday night.

The driver, fearing arrest tried to escape by speeding, not realising that the body was on the roof of the car. The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Srinivasulu, a labourer.

According to NDTV when the police and local villagers caught up, the driver jumped out and ran away, abandoning the smashed up car.

This is the second such incident in Telangana this year. Earlier this year the body of a 73-year old was carried over 20 kilometres by a speeding Maruti Swift car in Nalgonda district.
