Mangaluru: Reckless driving- vehicles damaged, two injured

Mangaluru, Sep 24: A car which plowed into vehicles and people Near Yenepoya Mall at Kadri late night on Friday September 23 left two people with severe injuries. In this accident, two vehicles and a sign post were badly damaged.

Santosh (35) and Sreenivas (28), both said to be working for a fast food joint in the said mall, were injured in the accident. While Sreenivas belongs to Beltangady, Santosh hails from Kinnigoli in the taluk, it is said. Both of them stand admitted into a hospital here.

An auto rickshaw and a motor bike parked at the spot were also damaged after the car struck them hard. It is said that the occupants of the car also suffered some injuries. Eyewitnesses said that the car was rashly driven.

    We were an eyewitness to the accident injection vials and syringes were found in the car conveniently not recorded it is very sure that the three inmates in the car were under the influence of drugs the case is hushed but more such tragedies waiting to happen because of the inept handling of such cases and encouragement to the children of the high and mighty that they can get away doing anything because the law makers and law enforcement agencies are more than willing to do their bidding the hapless poor daily wage earners like the two hapless individuals in this case are left by the wayside to the mercy of the natural elements KUDOS TO SMART MANGALORE AND SMARTER MANGALOREANS!!!

    noticed something...no details of the car is provided ... police has done the preliminary home work... to close the case... or else when they have the detailed information of the victims.... why not of the car which resulted this disaster ... well done police

    Very dangerous to have such drivers in town or anywhere. His D/L should be seized and a huge penalty should be imposed on the driver and owner of the car. Then our drivers will be cautious and take care, drivers never respect anyone walking on the road.
