M'lore: Prison Ministry Celebrates Christmas with Jail Inmates

Mangalore, Dec 19: Prison Ministry India celebrated Christmas with the inmates of the sub-jail here on Wednesday December 19

Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza of Mangalore presided over the function.  In his presidential address he said that the Prison ministry has been delivering the message of peace and joy of Christ to the jail inmates.  

U T Khader, ex MLA of Ullal was the chief guest.  He said, love and patience are the key factors of one's life.   He wished that every one should live in peace and harmony.  

Ishwar Naik, the superintendent of the prison was present for the function.  A short cultural programme was presented by the brothers of Dominican Order of Ashok Nagar. 

Fr Boniface welcomed the gathering and Stany proposed vote of thanks. 

To enhance the joy of Christmas chicken biriyani and kabab was served to all the inmates.  As a Christmas gift tooth paste and bathing soap was distributed to all the inmates.

    It seems to be wonderful programme. Christmas is a feast of all irrespective of religion and class. The prison ministry is doing a wonderful task by arranging various programmes for the inmates and donating the necessities of life. Congratulations dear Fr Bony & team.
