Mangalore: ‘Konkani Bazaar’ Inaugurated at Carmel Hill

Mangalore, Dec 20: Fr Alexander F D’Souza, ex-president of Konkani Sahitya Academy inaugurated the annual ‘Konkani Bazaar’, a temporary retail outlet of Konkani books, journals, CDs, VCDs, Christmas greeting cards, Christmas trees, crib sets and ‘Kuswar’, at Infant Jesus Shrine campus, Carmel Hill, Bikarnakatte, on Thursday December 20 morning. 

‘Konkani Bazaar’ will be operational from Thursday to Sunday December 23. Konkani Sahitya Academy has organized ‘Konkani Bazaar’ with a chief objective of providing ‘one-stop-shop’ for all Christmas accessories, traditional delicacies, Konkani books and journals, during these four days of Christmas.  

Fr Joe Tauro was the chief guest present on the occasion. Eric Ozario, president of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, presided over the programme. S H Shivarudrappa, Academy registrar was also present.
