Beltangady, Sep 27: A girl student studying in 9th standard has been admitted to Beltangady government hospital after she complained that she was assaulted by the head teacher at the English Medium School she studies at Venur.
The girl student has been seriously injured with five stitches on her head and blood clots are seen on her hand.
It is said that the same student was assaulted three times before and in all the instances, each matter was closed by compromise. The student has suffered mentally as well as physically due to these incidents, it is gathered.
She was assaulted again on September 24 and the Childline came to know about this incident. Childline people have asked the parents to lodge police complaint at Venur police station.
The parents of the students are very poor and are not fluent in Kannada as they hail from Kerala. These problems have dissuaded them from proceeding further. The student stayed in the hostel run by the school.
It is sadly leant that the student was also treated poorly by hostel mates and was even physically assaulted.
