Mangalore: 'Patha Darshini' book by Prof Stephen Quadros Released

The congregation of the 'Sisters of the Little Flowers of Bethany' observed the 47th death anniversary of Msgr Raymond Mascarenhas, the founder of the Bethany congregation here at St Sebastian Hall in Bendore, on Saturday December 22 morning.
 
Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza of Mangalore was the chief guest on the occasion. At the function, he released a career guidance hand book ‘Patha Darshini,’ published by the diocesan 'Career Advancement Programme' (CAP) cell and compiled by Prof Stephen Quadros Permude
 
Speaking on the occasion, Bishop describing the virtues of Msgr Raymond Mascarenhas, informed that he was one of the most dignified persons of the Mangalore Diocese, when he was alive.

Expressing concern over the current student community, he declared that education today has become a burden for the children due to a lot of pressure on them to study and being overloaded with books. "Hence children today have no time to read the books which increase their general knowledge", he analysed.
 
The Bishop on the occasion also felicitated Stephen Quadros, the writer of ‘Patha Darshini.’ Sr Jyothi, superior general of Bethany congregation, appreciated the work undertaken by the CAP cell. J R Lobo, deputy director of KUDCEMP, Fr Peter Noronha, parish priest of Bendur Church, Sr Wilbarta, assistant superior general of Bethany Congregation and others were present on the dais.
 
Fr Onil D’Souza, director of CODP welcomed the gathering, while Sr Prema proposed the vote of thanks. Vitti Bangalore compered the programme.
