Alto Porvorim, Dec 22: To commemorate the death of a youth by the name Florian Vaz during the 1986 language agitation, Thomas Stephens Konknni Kendr (TSKK) has announced the second ‘Konknni Martir Floriano Vaz Puroskar 2007’.
Konknni Martir Floraino Vaz Puroskar will be given to the best book published between January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2007 in Roman script. The award consists of a purse of Rs 5,000, a memento and a shawl.
Those who wish to apply for Konknni Martir Florian Vaz Puroskar 2007 should send 4 copies of their Konknni books in Roman script published during 1 January-31 December 2007. I
If the book is published in more than one script at least one of the scripts should be Roman. Entries must reach TSKK office before 5 p m on January 15, 2008.
