Mysuru, Oct 8 (DHNS): Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that his second son Dr Yathindra would be fielded in the upcoming elections if voters want him.
Speaking to reporters in Mysuru, he said that one can’t be brought into politics by force. “Earlier, my elder son Rakesh was looking after my constituency and now, Dr Yathindra is shouldering the responsibility. People will decide whether he should contest or not,” he said. He added that the government would soon take steps to hike the salaries of police personnel.
Meanwhile, speaking at the inauguration of newly constructed buildings for the government Nature Cure and Yoga Medical College and hostel and government Ayurveda hi-tech Panchakarma Hospital, Siddaramaiah said that he does not own any house in Mysuru and would construct one after the completion of his tenure.
Siddaramaiah said, earlier, he owned two houses, but he sold them due to various reasons. While the first house, constructed at a cost of Rs 2.75 lakh, was sold for Rs 23 lakh, the second house was sold for Rs 1 crore and the money was invested to purchase a house in Bengaluru, he said.
