Indian actors, singers might share stage with DJ Marshmello

Mumbai, Oct 9 (IANS): Electronic dance music (EDM) DJ Marshmello, who is in India for the first time to perform for a special show at music festival Sunburn, might share the stage with Bollywood artistes.

The EDM artiste, whose idenity remains a mystery to all because of his mask, has been touring in the country, going to Mumbai, Hyderabad, New Delhi and Bengaluru besides sharing stage with Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike for the Sminiroff India Tour in Mumbai and Hyderabad.

"It's true that Marshmello is a fan of Bollywood and we are in talks with a few Indian singers and actors to share the stage with him," Karan Singh, Sunburn CEO, said in a statement.

Marshmello gained international recognition by remixing songs by Djs Jack Ü and Zedd.

Inspired by other masked DJs like Deadmau5 and Daft Punk, Marshmello appears wearing a full-head-covering marshmallow helmet.

Despite the anonymity, his career received international recognition last year when he began releasing tracks online, including remixes of Zedd's "Beautiful now", Jack Ü's "Where are you now" as well as his own single "Alone".
