Puttur: Empty gas tanker falls into gorge, occupants escape unhurt

Puttur, October 18: An empty gas tanker coming to Mangaluru from Bengaluru went out of control of its driver and fell into the roadside gorge at Neerakatte in the taluk on Tuesday October 18. 

 

 

 

The driver and cleaner of the tanker have escaped with minor injuries whose identity is yet to be ascertained. The tanker belongs to Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL).  

Similar accident was reported from Kolpe Bridge near Golithottu in the taluk when another tanker had fallen into the gorge next to the bridge on September 9.

Uppinangadi police visited the spot.
