Mangaluru, Oct 19: "There are few persons with distorted minds, who are creating confusion for the sake of publicity. All these are agents of Muslims and Christians. If they had real concern for society and faith in secularism, they should also know that there is no entry to Masjid as discrimination is practiced there,” said Sriram Sene chief Pramod Muthalik in city on Wednesday, October 19.
Muthalik was speaking to media near the court premises referring to the plans of Dalit activists of laying seize to Udupi Math over alleged observation of ‘Pankti Bedha'. Muthalik was in city to appear in court relating the case of infamous pub attack.
“If these people have guts, let them enter the mosques. If they are talking about the discrimination in Maths, why do not they talk about the discrimination in mosques? Those should keep in mind that if they enter the Udupi Math, they will go to jail instead of coming back home,” Muthalik warned.
Tippu Jayanthi
Commenting on the decision of state government to observe Tippu Jayanthi, Muthalik said “Peace in the state was disrupted after state government observed Tippu Jayanthi last year. If government wants peace and harmony in the state, it should withdraw Tippu Jayanthi celebration on November 10. There is lot of anger in the entire state regarding the death of Kuttappa. It is not fair to observe the Tippu Jayanthi to appease Muslims. The government supports Jayanthi of Tippu, who was against Kannada, who vandalized 800 temples and who took Mysore palace by fraudulence means. Future government may also observe the birthday of Osama Bin Laden. People of state should oppose this Tippu Sultan Jayanthi."
Swachh Udupi
On right wing activists planning to observe Swachh Udupi, Muthalik said “Sriram Sena will support this. Maths from various communities have been doing good works like providing education and meals which the government could not do. This move of so-called intellectuals is not fair. There is no Pankti Beda at all in Udupi.”
Ramayana Museum
On Ramayana Museum in Ram Janambhoomi he said “BJP came to power 50% for development and 50% for Hindutva cause. Ram Mandir should be built 100 % and we have confidence that Ram Mandir will be constructed".
Pakistani actors
Commenting on Pakistani actors and players he said "We should boycott all actors and players of Pakistan till Pakistani sponsored terrorism stops. We will boycott the movies of Pakistani actors in all theatres in Karnataka.”
Uniform civil code
When asked about uniform civil code, Muthalik said "There is no two laws in any country in the entire world. Only in India, we have two laws. Still the Muslims are opposing uniform civil code and they want their law. Let them go to Pakistan. I will support this uniform civil code."
Praveen Walke and Anand Shetty Adyar were present among others.

Udupi, Oct 19: Muthalik who reached Udupi from Mangaluru later in the evening and visited Sri Krishna Math and also met Pejawar Swamiji.
Muthalik later speaking to media condemned the statement made by district in-charge minister Pramod Madhwaraj on food habits of Rama, Krishna and Valmiki. “'Rama was Kshatriya, Krishna belonged to Golla community and Valmiki from was from Beda community. They might have eaten meat. There is nothing wrong in eating meat. We only have objection on eating beef, not other meat. One cannot oppose non vegetarians. But what Pramod spoke was wrong. If cow slaughter is stopped, it is really a praiseworthy matter.”
After Muthalik, senior Pejawar Swamiji speaking on 'Kanaka Nade', called by Chakravarthy Sulibele, said ‘It will be held on October 23. He asked me for permission and I just welcomed his plan. As per the guidance of Sulibele, his team will participate in the 'Kanaka Nade'.”
“I will not comment on the statement of Madhwaraj because there is no base or evidences to prove the claim. Beda community people might have eaten meat. All these discussions are unnecessary now. Brahmins should not eat non veg. They should maintain the same status in future with regard to food habits. Sacrificing alcohol and meat is good to health, according to Manusmrithi” he added.
“There are no restrictions for other communities with regard to food habits. But no one should take to violence in the name of food.” Swamiji said.
