Polls in UP, 4 other states in Feb-March

New Delhi, Oct 24 (PTI): Uttar Pradesh, which is set to witness game-changer elections, and four other states will go to polls simultaneously, most likely in February-March.

The elections will commence after the presentation of the Union Budget on February 1. While it will be a single-day polling in Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand and Manipur, Uttar Pradesh is likely to have as many as seven phases, sources in the Election Commission said.

The BJP, which had swept the Lok Sabha elections more than two years ago in Uttar Pradesh, is seeking to make a comeback by wresting power from the ruling SP. The BSP is expected to give a stiff challenge to both of them.

In Punjab, the ruling SAD-BJP combine is facing a tough battle from the Congress on the one hand, and a fledgling AAP on the other.

I wanted AAP to contest in all four states, anyways its wise strategy to contest only two states. All the good wishes to AAP for Punjab and Goa. I am pretty sure AAP will clean sweep the elections just like Delhi. Support AAP for good governance and clean politics. Vote for change, vote for AAP. Jai Hind!

    1) AAP has good chance in Punjab (In LS polls of 2014 they got 4 out of 10 MP seats), however Congress also equally strong in comeback. Death knell for SAD / BJP, anti incumbency of last 10 years 2) In UP, BJP has best ever chance to grab power after 15 years of misrule by BSP/ SP combination. Congress is spent force, no chance of any revival 3) Manipur - Congress as well as ESDF (East States Development Front of NDA) has chance 4) Goa - BJP may continue to do well

I'm sure people of UP will teach a lesson to the opportunist bjp. Like what happened in Bihar, all parties should come together and beat the opportunist communal party.

It's now turn of BJP to rule in U.P.
SP and Congress already nailed down in coffin. BSP out of race..people come out from the party. Full majority is on platter. Only to wait for 4 months to grab and swallow completely...without leaving besides anybody. BJP is conquering all over. Next is turn of Karnataka. Supporters of lesser party here after only concntrate on commenting..a last option.

Yes Dev, I agree with you, because BJP is the only party having such talents to FOOL the Indian public since publics memory power is very weak. "ULLU BANAYING" is the Mantra of BESHARAM JANARA PARTY.
