Bengaluru, Oct 26: A preparatory meeting for ThinkBig 2016, a mega event focusing on Women Entrepreneurship being organized by WEConnect International in association with Government of Karnataka to be held on November 14 and 15 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) in Bengaluru was held under the chairmanship of Karnataka’s Large and Medium industries and Infrastructure Development Minister R V Deshpande on Wednesday.

ThinkBig Summit is Asia's largest platform for multinational corporate buyers, government officials, multilateral organisations, investors-VC and PE executives and industry thought leaders to connect with Women-Owned Businesses (WOBs) in Asia.

The event aims at introducing women business owners to public and private sector opportunities and encouraging corporations to build up a buyer/customer base of women-owned businesses.

The 2-day event will witness participation of more than 4000 women entrepreneurs from various sectors.

More than 150 Industry thought leaders have be invited to deliver keynote speeches at the conference. The Tradeshow at Thinkbig2016 will feature 500 stalls of women entrepreneurs’, industry associations, strategic partners, companies, as well as corporate procurement desks, said an official press release.

Ms K Ratna Prabha, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to Government of Karnataka and avid supporter of women entrepreneurship, Parul Soni, Executive Director, WEConnect International and officials from various other departments attended the meeting.
