Mangalore, Jan 5: Manjusha Hebbar and Hardhika Shetty, NSS volunteers from St Agnes College have been conferred the national level 'Indira Gandhi Award 2007-2008' of union government, stated the press release of St Agnes College.

This is the highest award conferred on NSS volunteers at the national level, added the press release emphasizing that conferment is the milestone in the history of the college. The award will be conferred on Wednesday, January 16 at Chennai, it detailed.
 
The institution has added several feathers to its credit, such as the best NSS unit of Mangalore University for the year 2007-2008 with awards like best NSS programme officer, best lady NSS volunteer, that goes to Charles Pais and Manjusha Hebbar, respectively. The college also has the International Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter Partnership Award for water-shed Management under the auspices of NSS to its credit, the press release briefed.
