Non-subsidised LPG hiked by Rs 37.5 per cylinder


New Delhi, Nov 1 (IANS): State-run oil marketer Indian Oil Corp. (IOC) on Monday hiked prices of non-subsidised LPG, or cooking gas, by Rs 37.50 per cylinder and by Rs 2 for a subsidised one, effective from midnight.

Non-subsidised LPG is available at market price for customers who exhaust their quota of 12 subsidised cylinders per annum.

From Tuesday, a 14.2-kg cylinder of non-subsidised LPG will cost Rs 529.50 in Delhi, Rs 551 in Kolkata, Rs 531 in Mumbai, and Rs 538.50 in Chennai, IOC said in a statement.

Similarly, with subsidised LPG cylinder prices being raised by Rs 2, it will cost Rs 430.64 per cylinder in Delhi, Rs 432.64 in Kolkata, Rs 460.27 in Mumbai, and Rs 418.14 in Chennai.

    In 2014 we used to pay 400 rupees 10 rupees to the helper. In 2015 onwards we are paying 750 rupees and subsidy what they are paying is only 75 rupees back that also once in four months or 6 months
    since more one year oil price in less than 40 dollar where in 2014 it is 120 dollar
    still price is increasing. and BJP is looting people and they know that people are happy in hindutwa agenda
    It is not a small corruption. If you calculate it will be Lacks of crores of rupees. Very Very big corruption in Indian history.

    On the other side 'pradhan sevak' acche din allows Reliance Industries to enter LPG business.

    People who volunteered to give up their subsidized cylinders must be very happy today. They gave up their subsidy as they could afford to pay more. So, lets tax them more for doing something they thought would help others in India.

    Well done. If wants to consume more cylinders pay more.
    Earlier government made all public undertaking companies..non-profit organisations.
    One more defence scam cropped-up. Not done anything for people especially poor.

    Let this government first appoint LokPal and then see all karmakanda of this government come out!. All wwatchdogs have been disabled by Modiji!. CAG has been caged! Judges are not appointed and all RTI queries to the government are not answered or evaded!!!. Is this a government you call transparent!!!???
