Himachal CM discharged from hospital


Shimla, Nov 2 (IANS): Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh was discharged on Wednesday after three days of hospitalisation due to chest infection and viral fever, a doctor said.

Official sources said Singh would not attend public engagements for at least five days.

The Chief Minister, who was hospitalised at the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMCH) on October 31, has almost recovered, Senior Medical Superintendent Ramesh Chand told IANS.

He informed that Singh had complained of congestion and was facing breathing problems.

"All his tests are normal. For the last two days he was kept in the hospital just for observation," he added.

Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, who was here to attend a function to mark the birth anniversary of India's first Home Minister Vallabhbhai Patel, along with Governor Acharya Devvrat and his Cabinet colleagues had visited the hospital.
