PSG reportedly join race to sign Coutinho

Rio de Janeiro, Nov 4 (IANS): Paris Saint-Germain could be willing to pay up to 75 million euros (around $83.28 million) to secure Liverpool and Brazil international midfielder Philippe Coutinho, according to a media report.

Coutinho, who is contracted with Liverpool until 2018, is at the top of Paris Saint-Germain's transfer wish-list after his superb start to the English Premier League season, according to Brazilian newspaper Lance, reports Xinhua.

But the Ligue 1 outfit face stiff competition from Barcelona and Real Madrid, who are also keen to prise the 24-year-old away from Anfield, according to the report.

Coutinho is said to favor a move to Barcelona, where he would join close friends Luis Suarez -- with whom he played at Liverpool -- and Brazil teammate Neymar.

Having begun his career with Rio de Janeiro side Vasco da Gama, Coutinho represented Inter Milan and Espanyol before joining the Reds in January 2013.
