Man held for trying to commit suicide in Gurugram


Gurugram, Nov 5 (IANS): A man was arrested for allegedly trying to commit suicide, police said here on Saturday.

Bhim Singh, 33, a resident of Chainpura Prem Nagar colony of Bhora Kalan village on Delhi-Jaipur National Highway 8, was arrested by Gurugram police.

A case under section 309 of the Indian Penal Code was registered at Bilaspur police station on the complaint of accused's elder brother Rakesh Kumar.

Police officer Arun Kumar told IANS that Singh had some financial dispute with his brothers. After having heated arguments with his family members, he tried to immolate himself but was overpowered by them.

Singh, a driver, was produced before the court on Saturday and was sent to judicial custody following court orders.
