Bengaluru: Body of actor Anil found - search on for villager now

Bengaluru, Nov 10: The mortal remains of Anil, Kannada actor known for portraying mostly negative roles, were fished out of Tippagondanahalli reservoir on Thursday November 10 by the personnel of National Disaster Response Force. The body, which was in a bad shape, was identified by the family members of the actor, after which postmortem of the body was conducted on the banks of the reservoir before handing it over to family members.

In the meanwhile, search is on for a villager named Yellaiah (45), who is suspected to have drowned during the search operation. Yellaiah was among the crowd of people who were watching the operation, who suddenly slipped and fell into the water, it is said.

A number of leading political and film personalities made a beeline to the spot. Many of them have announced compensation to the families of the deceased actors, considering that they are not financially well off. In the meanwhile, all the teams involved with search and rescue operation have appreciated people from nearby villagers for supporting the operation and supplying the teams with the items needed by them to keep the operation on.
