Malayalam actor Rekha Mohan found dead in her Thrissur apartment


Thrissur, Nov 13 (Agencies) : A day after the death of a Tamil actor, Malayalam actor Rekha Mohan was reportedly found dead inside her apartment in Thrissur on Saturday.

According to a report in thenewsminute, Rekha’s husband, after not being able to get in touch with her for the last two days, contacted the Thrissur police to look at the situation. The report also suggested that when police broke into her apartment, which was said to be locked from inside, they found the deceased body of Rekha.

Rekha was known for her roles in films like Udyanapalakan, Yathramozhi and Ne Varuvolam. She also had a popular small-screen appearance in serial Mayamma.

Viyyur police have also said to have registered a case and her body has reportedly been kept in Thrissur Medical College for a post mortem. However, the cause of her death is yet to be ascertained as more details in this case are awaited.

Last night in a similar tragic incident, Saberna Saboo, a popular cine actor in Tamil industry, was also found dead by police in her Chennai flat. The police were called in by her neighbours after a foul smell started coming from her house, which had remained closed for about three days. Reports said that when a police team, arrived at her flat in Maduravoyal, they found that the door wasn’t locked from the inside. Some media reports also said that the police had recovered a three-page suicide letter from her flat, in which she has talked about her professional and relationship issues, suggesting that it could be a case of suicide.
