Udupi, Nov 16: After establishing itself as one of the top luxury hotels in the city of Mangaluru, The Ocean Pearl is now ready to serve the people of Udupi.
The hotel was inaugurated here on Wednesday November 16 by Sri Vidyaprasannateertha Swamiji, junior and successor to Paryaya Sri Pejawar Swamiji, and blessed the management.
District in-charge minister Pramod Madwaraj, MLA and former minister Abhaychandra Jain, former MP Jayaprakash Hegde, chairman of Sai Radha Group Manohar Shetty, promoter of Mandavi Builders Dr Jerry Vincent Dias, Kishan Kumar Hegde Kolkibail, former MLA Gopal Bhandary, president and managing director of The Ocean Pearl hotel Jayaram Banan, vice-president P N Girish, owner of the building Salim, businessmen Gurme Suresh Shetty and others were present.
The ground floor of the hotel houses 'Sagar Rathna' veg restaurant that will provide north and south Indian food, and so also 24x7 'Tide'. The first floor comprises 'Coral' restaurant that provides Indian and European non-veg cuisines, a conference hall for press meets, workshops and celebrations. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors consist of 45 rooms including three suites, three clubs and a banquet hall with a seating capacity of 500. About 2.5 acres of land has been reserved for parking. Other facilities include valet parking, business centre, fitness centre, travel desk, and doctor-on-call.
