Kundapur: Gang launches brutal attack on man

Kundapur, Nov 28: At around 10 pm on Saturday November 26, a gang attacked a youth near Lord Shaneshwara temple at Kumbri Koteshwar near here.

In this incident, Santosh (28), son of Vittal from Aralagudde Koteshwar, was at the receiving end of the attack. Santosh was moving toward his house on a motor bike driven by his friend, Raghavendra, when a gang comprising Abhishek Markodu, Benki Manjunath, Bharat, Ashok, Rama, Pradeep, Dayanand, Beauty Santosh, Gumbala Ganesha and a few others blocked their way by keeping their motor bike across the road, it is said.

When Raghavendra stopped the motor bike, Santosh was attacked by the gang. They also used soda bottles and wickets with the alleged purpose of killing Santosh. But by then some friends of Santosh reached the spot upon which the accused fled from there, it is said.

A complaint about the incident was filed at the town station here. Policemen have undertaken investigation.
