Udupi, Nov 28: The navigation of the Holy Cross as preparation for Catholic Community’s 10th National Youth Convention 2017 has already begun. The Cross reached from Beltangady to Miyar in Udupi diocese on Sunday, November 27.
The Cross which was earlier received by the office bearers of Catholic youth movement from Beltangady and was brought to St Dominic church in Miyar. A grand welcome was held for the Cross that arrived from Beltangady to Miyar.
The Cross will be taken to various places in Udupi diocese from November 27 to December 11. Young people in Udupi have done preparations for the event. Procession, Holy Mass, adoration of the Cross and grand concluding ceremony will be held in Milagres Cathedral, Udupi on December 11 under the leadership of Bishop of Udupi Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo.
Holy Cross will be taken to following parishes Nov 27 – 28 at Miyar, Nov 29 at Karkal Town, Nov 30 at Belman, Dec 1 to Shirva, Dec 2 to Pangala, Dec 3 to Kalmady, Dec 4 to Moodubelle, Dec 5 to Udupi, Dec 6 to Kundapura, Dec 7 to Trasi, Dec 8 to Sasthan Dec 9 to Barkur, Dec 10 to Mount Rosary Church, Finally On December 11 to Milagreas Cathedral From were it will be handed over to Mangaluru Diocese.
The convention will be held from January 18 to 22 at St Joseph’s Engineering College, Vamanjoor hosted by ICYM diocese of Mangaluru. Indian Youth Catholic Movement and Youth Activ8 Foundation are the organisers of the convention.
