Puttur, Dec 1: “Let us be grateful to God for all that He has done for us,” said Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro during the Holy Mass, celebrated on account of College Day celebrations of St Philomena Pre-University College here.

“God has done mighty things here on Philomena campus. Now it is our turn to do our best in society by being the light and salt of the earth,” he said during the homily.

St Philomena Pre-University College celebrated college day on December 1. On account of this a Thanksgiving Mass was held on November 30. All the Catholic students of the college took part in the Holy Mass. Principal Fr Vijay Lobo welcomed everybody and thanked the gathering. Sherman Baptist and group prepared the liturgy of the Mass.

Brother Ronson led the choir with melodious singing. DCA group animators Noveline D’Souza, Shilpa Rodrigues and Philomena Monteiro were present on the occasion. After the Mass, refreshments were served to all the students of the college.
