Mangalore: Specially-abled Children Taught to Prepare Kites

Mangalore, Jan 18: Team Mangalore, a group of kite flyers organized a workshop on preparing kites for the students of St Agnes Special School here on Friday January 18 morning.

Foreign kite flyers Carl and his wife Saara from UK and Raymond from Holland who were in Mangalore to take part in the international kite festival to be held at Panambur beach on Saturday January 19 and Sunday January 20 taught the specially-abled children on making kites and the technique of flying them.

About 50 children learnt the art of making kites at the workshop. First the teachers flew some of the colourful kites in the school ground. Later they showed the children on making a kite, colouring and flying it inside the classroom.
