Kundapur, Dec 6: Menace of drug peddlers has reportedly increased in Koteshwar and its vicinity in Kumbasi, Vakwady, Mudu Gopadi, Koteshwar, Neramballi and Kumbri. Several young men have become drug addicts.

Koteshwar villagers held protests in front of Koteshwar panchayat office on December 5, urging for arrest and action against those who are responsible for the sale of Ganja and other drugs. Alleging that groups of young men after consuming drugs severely assaulted a man named Santhsoh Aralugudde who is suffering from chest pain, they condemned the incident.
