Mangaluru: Sangeet Bharati to host 'KATHAKita DHA' musical evening on Dec 18

Mangaluru, Dec 15: Sangeet Bharati Foundation is organising a grand musical evening 'KATHAKita DHA' on Sunday December 18 at Town Hall here at 6 pm.

Renowned artistes of international fame will perform on that day.

In the first part, there will be a tabla solo by Rimpa Siva from Kolkata. She will be accompanied by Sathish Kolli from Bengaluru on harmonium lehra.

In the second part there will be a contemporary Kathak dance performance by renowned Nirupama Rajendra and group, Abhinava Dance Academy, Bengaluru.

Karnataka Bank Ltd will be the main sponsor for this programme and the entire musical evening is named 'Karnataka Bank KATHAKita DHA'. Managing director and CEO of the Bank P Jayaram Bhat will inaugurate the programme.

Entry is free but through entry passes. Free entry passes can be availed at the programme venue on the day of the programme between 5 pm and 6 pm.

Vice-president of Sangeet Bharati Foundation Sri Narendra L Nayak has requested all music lovers in and around Mangaluru to participate in this programme.

The same was announced in a press meet attended by president of Sangeet Bharati Foundation Ustad Rafique Khan, secretary Radhakrishna Rao Perody, treasurer Ushaprabha N Nayak, trustee Muralidhar Shenoy and young sitarist Ankush N Nayak were present.
