Mangalore, Jan 24: After a day's peace, Ullal once again turned violent after incidents of stabbing were reported from the sensitive pockets of the town in the late hours of Wednesday January 23.

While a rickshaw driver and another young man were injured in the stabbing incidents, the police have already taken 45 persons into custody as precautionary measures.  Section 144 has been clamped in the Ullal police station limits and additional security has been deployed to meet any unwanted situation.

Two groups were involved in the stabbing cases which are said to be the continuation of stone pelting and incidents of violence that rocked the town a couple of days ago.

A young man who hired an auto to go to Mukkacheri is said to have asked the driver Ritesh to stop the rickshaw mid way in order to pick two more of his friends. When his friends came, he attacked Ritesh and damaged his rickshaw completely.

On the other hand one Nikhil (20) who was coming home after his work at a petrol pump was attacked near Bandikotya bhajana mandir with bicycle chains, wooden clubs and sabres.  He is said to have been stabbed by the group and is now admitted to a private hospital.  This incident is said to have taken place half an hour after Ritesh was attacked.

Meanwhile the police have clamped Section 144 and have already taken 45 persons into custody.  Situation is under control for the present.

However, recent reports reaching Daijiworld office confirmed that Ullal town is observing complete bundh.  People have shut their shops and business concerns and even schools and colleges have declared holiday.  None of the persons are willing to come out of their houses even in case of emergency.  Eyewitnesses said that it is as if curfew has been imposed in the town.  No vehicles are plying to Ullal from Thokkottu.  Even Thokkottu is observing partial bundh.  Most of the shops have pulled the shutters down and there is hardly any commercial activity going on in Thokkottu right now.

A solitary incident happens due to personal differences, etc. and it should not be given any religious color. If this is done the incident will die down and police take care of the situation.

My Dear Brothers Please understand the situation and act accordingly, be brave enough to stand against these cheap mentality politicians.  They are creating the communnal fights between two groups and later coming in to the picture as of they are very good peace makers.

Look at the other countries specailly gulf every body has got their own rights to follow their own religion, these religions are to become good human beings on this earth and more over these religions will not take the country anywhere nor it can become strong economic growth of the country

All of us should remember that our so called political leaders are using us as a tool for their political gain. Communal differences are their creations and it is nothing to do with our neighbhours belonging to other religion sect or groups. Let us WAKE UP and defeat their ambitions by staying united as Indians and only Indians.

Oh! God, what is happening in Mangalore? Why we don't understand each other. Is it possible for us to live fighting always. Is there any end if we stabb each other and go on for bundh, section 144 and Curfew. Business is stopped, Educational Institutions are closed, No Trasnport, poor people get stabbed.

What is this? Is this we say Mangalore (DK) beautiful place, famous for education, health etc.? Hello, all communities please come on, bring peace and try to see that it doesn't happen again. As peace loving people, please let us live together with peace and harmony. Don't be so foolish to fall in the hands of politicians and fascists.
