Udupi: Diocese organises Christmas Snehakoota with media persons

Udupi, Dec 22: Udupi diocese shared the joy of Christmas with media persons here on Wednesday, December 21 at its an annual Christmas get-together ''''''''''''''''Christmas Snehakoota''''''''''''''''.

The Bishop of Udupi dioceses, Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, addressed the gathering and said, “Jesus is not in the church or in the crib, he is present in everyone. We all must try to see God in others and help or do something for them. Christmas is a festival of  peace and harmony," he said.















The social worker Veronica Cornelio, Udupi-District Rajyotsava Awardee of 2016, was facilitated during the programme. She said, “Mother Teresa is my inspiration. What I do is a single drop in the ocean compared to Mother’s services. Christmas is a universal festival. It’s a symbol of peace and harmony. I extend my best wishes to everyone for Christmas and the coming year.”

Rohini K, district information officer, Udupi, Ganesh Prasad Pandelu general secretary of Journalist Association, Udupi, and Fr Chetan Lobo were present at the programme. Fr Denis D’Sa welcomed the guests, Michael Rodrigues proposed the vote of thanks.
