Mangaluru: Two including TMC chief officer's son arrested in chain-snatching cases

Mangaluru, Dec 27: Two persons, including the son of Ullal town municipal council chief officer, have been been arrested for their involvement in chain-snatching incidents.

The arrested are Vimarsh Alva (21), son of Ullal TMC chief officer Vani Alva and resident of Maroli, and Shahil Hussain (21), a resident of Pandeshwar.

They were arrested near GHS cross road here on Tuesday December 27.

They have been arrested in connection with chain-snatching incidents reported in Moodbidri on December 13 and Madyar in Ullal on December 25.

The police have recovered three gold chains valued at Rs 2.26 lac and two Honda Activa scooters from the accused.

Mangaluru north police conducted the arrest operation.

    How bad... that a TMC officer's son should be involved in chain-snatching cases. How bad the father must be feeling about the disgrace the son has brought on him.

    What is good is that the Police Force has acted well and deserve to be complimented.

    Mangalroe City and suburbs and the other areas in Dakshina Kannada are well taken care of under the very efficient management by the commissioner of Police Mr. Chandra Shekhar and the suburban regions are well managed by The Superintendent of Police Mr. Bhushan
