Mangaluru, Jan 3: “The statement by Karnataka state Chief whip Ivan D’ Souza of sending Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi who is being respected throughout the world to prison is the limit of foolishness,” said MLA Kota Srinivas Poojary.
In a communication sent to media through BJP Dakshina Kannada office, Poojary said “Before targeting the Prime Minister, Ivan should understand that 90% of Indians supported the move of the PM when the he demonetised 86% currency notes in the country. People in countries like Russia, North Korea and Myanmar opposed when their currency was banned as the people lost faith in the basic intention of their leaders.”
"However Indians who realized that the aim of Indian Prime Minister was to control black money, stop fake currency and anti-national forces conducting subversive activities in Kashmir valley by paying money, a Congress’s gift, and maintain peace, supported the Prime Minister. Such cheap talk is not conducive to the prestigious position of Chief whip,” added Poojary.
“It is a good tradition that nobody should indulge in politics in the finance and defense of the country. The Prime Minister has answered to the hide and seek activities in the Pakistan border by surgical strike. While every patriot welcomes the stand of the Prime Minister to control black marketers who topple the financial situation in the country, the statement of Ivan D’Souza has created anxiety among thinkers”, explained Kota Srinivas Poojary.
“Know through your elders the public welcome of currency ban by senior Congress leader, health minister Ramesh Kumar and Revenue minister Kagodu Thimmappa. Though the union government released currency notes in time, your government tried to stop cash from reaching the people with the help of your officials Chikkarayappa and Jayachandra. One of your young female leaders had to listen to strong talk from poor people for having spoken against currency ban in the market. If the poor protest in the open, the state government will be a target for jokes”, he said.
“The Prime Minister who spoke addressing the country on the final day of currency ban announced financial help to pregnant women, exemption of interest on farmer’s loan and relaxation of interest on construction of dwelling houses. The common man will answer to the irresponsible talk in the next elections. You should know that we too know to answer in your style”, he warned.
