Mangaluru, Jan 3: Reacting to widespread reactions and protests to his statement while demanding justice in the murder case of Karthik Raj, Dakshina Kannada Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel said that he did not make any inflammatory statement as projected.
“I did not have any intention of disrupting peace in Dakshina Kannada district. Yet, I have felt sorry for what I said and I have expressed this through media later,” Nalin added.

“The protest was held to remind the police regarding the murder case. I did not speak anything with bad intention. When I was opening my feelings, I could have used some wrong words. But there is no need to interpret them differently,” Nalin said.
“I am aware of my responsibility as Member of Parliament. We all have the duty to maintain peace in the district. I am only demanding that Karthik Raj killers should be arrested. If we do not get justice, we will fight in a democratic way as per law.” Nalin concluded.
