M'lore: Sixth Annual Sports Meet of Srinivas Group of Colleges Held

Mangalore, Feb 5: City's Srinivas group of colleges organized its sixth annual sports meet recently at Mangala stadium here, stated a press release. The sports meet was inaugurated by A M Prasad, inspector general of police (western range).

Speaking on the occasion Prasad appreciated the growth of Srinivas group of colleges. He spoke about unity in diversity that the college symbolizes through the students who come from different corners of the world but at the same time have a united goal of pursuing a professional career.

According to him it is a matter of great pride that the city is a host to such prestigious institutions. Earlier A M Prasad along with the president of A Shama Rao Foundation received the salute from the march past contingent. 

Later Prasad hoisted the college flag and declared the meet open. Athletes of the Srinivas Institutions carried the torch in a relay. The other dignitaries present on the occasion were A Srinivas Rao, vice president , A Shama Rao Foundation and the principals of Srinivas Institutions. 

A Raghavendra Rao, president, A Shama Rao Foundation handed over the memento to the chief guest and judges of the march past.
