Kasargod: Vehicles damaged, two injured in BJP-DYFI friction at Mulleria

Kasargod, Jan 12: After trouble arose between activists of BJP and Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) at Mulleria, two youngsters were injured and hospitalized. A car was torched and an auto rickshaw was damaged during the incident.

DYFI was taking out a procession to welcome the Supreme Court order to the state government to disburse compensation of Rs 5 lac each to the endosulfan-affected families, on Wednesday January 11. During the procession, a BJP activist, Bharat, who was operating his auto rickshaw on the way, was waylaid and attacked. His three-wheeler was toppled and damaged. Thereafter, a Maruti 800 car owned by Vaman Achary, who happens to be the district working president of Hindu Aikyavedi organization, was torched, and his shop was vandalized.

This incident occurred at around 6.30 pm. CPM has accused BJP activists of pelting stones at the procession of DYFI, resulting in the said retaliation. Police personnel from Adur station were rushed to the spot immediately thereafter. By the time fire brigade arrived, the car had been completely burnt down.

Locals claimed that two young men who were travelling in a motor bike, were hit with sticks by DYFI activists and injured. The injured stand hospitralized. Additional police personnel have been deployed at Bovikkana in view of tension prevailing there. Hindu Aikyavedi organization said that Hartal will be observed on Thursday within Muliyar gram panchayat limits to condemn the violent behaviour of DYFI activists.

    Sanghis are trying to create disturbance all over india and especially in Kerala as they want BJP to come to power that to make Kerala a Hindu (brahmin dominated) state. DYFI peaceful procession was stoned by sanghis in a well planned way. kerala Govt should be very strict on these trouble maker sanghis and arrest their leaders.

    While the chief minister's son is educated in US and runs a business in Dubai, the youth followers of pinarayi are fighting blindly and becoming communist martyrs!!
    Same with BJP too. Where is O rajgopal's son?
    I have never seen any leader's son or close relatives fighting in the streets for the party.
