Mangaluru, Jan 17: Union minister and former Karnataka chief minister, D V Sadananda Gowda (DVS), asserted that his party will come back to power in the state during the next assembly election.

Talking about differences which have cropped up between party leaders, Yeddyurappa and Eshwarappa, which are being projected as having the potential to rob the party of its chances, he concurred that there are some minor internal differences, but hastened to add that some people are unnecessarily projecting them as major ones. "Party leadership does not need more than half an hour to thrash out these issues. This is a minor problem," he stressed.

Speaking to media persons during his visit to the city on Monday January 16, DVS said that he and other BJP leaders are confident that their party will rise to power in Punjab, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Goa where elections will be held shortly. "Prime Minister, Narendra Modi's corruption-free rule, various schemes he floated for the benefit of common people, total support extended by the populace to his demonetisation move etc have given a clear signal that people are decisively backing our party. The political developments in Uttar Pradesh and incidents in Punjab too point out to the fact that BJP is the favourite in these states," he said.

DVS pointed out after demonetisation of currency notes with face value of Rs 1,000 and 500, Prime Minister, Modi has been bringing improvements in phases. He welcomed the latest measure of increasing cash withdrawal limit to Rs 10,000 in case of savings bank accounts and Rs 1 lac in the case of current accounts. He analyzed that these measures will end problems faced by the people and help the common people in a big way.
