Mangaluru: Based on true-story, Tulu movie 'Nemoda Boolya' to hit theatres soon

Mangaluru, Jan 19: Popular dramatist B K Gangadhar Kirodian had resuscitated a forgotten tale that occurred in Bettampadi, Puttur about two hundred years ago, with his upcoming Tulu-movie 'Nemoda Boolya'. Kirodian has based the film on a play that revived the Puttur-narrative. It is also known, that the plot for the movie was inspired by an old Tulu folk song  Paratimangane Paddana, known to many.  

The movie is produced by Kudradiguthu Chandrashekar under the Kudrady Kuladevatha Creations banner. Director Kirodian has also written the script for the movie. Umapathi has handled the cinematography.

Preetham Shetty Kadar plays the lead with Rajani, a Kannada television actress. Pradeepchandra Udupi plays Annappa Ballala in the movie.

About the songs
 
The songs of the film were released on June 26, last year. However, the video-series of the songs will be out now and has given rise to new hope in coastal-music, as the songs are shot in the greenery of the coast, and one can immerse in the exceptional beauty of nature .

There are six songs in the film. Famous music director V Manohar has provided music and lyrics for the songs. Faneendra Krishna and Nagachandrika have sung 'Poojalle Mudithondu' in the music series. Badriprasad has sung for 'O Madanalokada Madimale', Nagachandrika Bhat has sung 'Le Leyo Leyo', Chintan Vikas has sung in 'Kanned Netharenjandi', Shashank Sheshagiri and Denna have sung 'Daivono Nambodu' and 'Denna Dennana Denna' song is sung by Prathima Bhat.

As songs have left a lasting impression in the mind of the audience, expectations are high for the film.
