Pat one end Modi, Mukherjee talk about curbing corruption, on the other side they are bestowing the second highest civilian award on one of the most corrupt, criminal politician sharad pawar. This is utter nonsense. Can anyone tell me that pawar did not know about the Bombay blasts before they took off! This is a total insult to Padua Vibushan and it has lost its grace.

These civilian awards have become toys in the hands of our politicians. One Dr. Gandhi in Ghatkopar, popularly known as Ghatkopar Gandhi has been giving medicines in his life time at very cheap rate, presently at Rs 3 per day. People from that area collect lakhs of signatures every year and submit to govt for Padma Shri, but his name never appears. Although, he does not bother, people are interested. He is an MBBS from Grant Medical College, one of the famous Medicaal colleges in India

To be honest Indian awards have lost its credibility and meaning.

Every Cat and Rat is receiving award which is meaningless.

Every year awards are being awarded just because they have to be awarded no matter whether a candidate deserves it or not is not matter. Few are receiving it on party influence.

Gone are those days when it was awarded to worthy candidates upto such esteem stature.
