When I touched down at Mangalore Airport last year, there were so many Customs Officials gathered together and roaming around the Customs & Baggage clearance area…. Anxiously I asked one Officer…what was special that day….he proudly said that….Mangalore Airport became the number one Airport in India last year for catching more gold smuggling or illegal trade in other goods by passenger. Therefore many Officers from Mumbai Head Quarters visited Mangalore Airport to congratulate all the Customs Officers at Mangalore Airport… Though we heard some corruption issues occasionally but still we are proud that our Coastal People are best known for higher education and non-corrupt public duties too. We fight…we argue…but when it comes to corruption we are still intolerance which makes us proud too

Good job by the authorities. As always, One common factor, one place 'Kasargod' , What are we waiting for? As starters separate immigration counters are a MUST in the airport.
