Mangaluru: 'Psycritique 2017' held at St Agnes PG Centre

Mangaluru, Feb 11: The departments of psychology and English of St Agnes Centre For Post Graduate Studies And Research jointly organised an intercollegiate fest 'Psycritique 2017' at the college premises on February 10.







The chief guest on the occasion, Dr Hima Urmila Shetty S, retired associate professor of the department of English, St Agnes College spoke on the rate of rising violence and how it can be resisted by integrating sensitivity (Psychology) and sensibility (Literature).

Sr Dr M Venissa AC, vice-principal, HOD, dept of economics, St Agnes College presided over the event. Sr Marie Evelyn AC, Coordinator, St Agnes Post Graduate Centre also graced the ceremony with her presence.

Several under-graduate and post-graduate students of 12 different colleges in and around Mangaluru participated in the fest. Competitions including paper presentations, documentary and quiz were held. The overall championship was bagged by School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya (UG) Mangaluru, while MGM College, Udupi were the runners up.

Staff conveners Sarah Crasta and Ruba Haris along with the student conveners Jacqueline Sarah and Dalsy Dominic from the departments of psychology and English respectively along with Sr Marie Evelyn were present for the valedictory program.
