Navy chief Lanba pays homage to soldiers


Noida, Feb 18 (IANS): The Indian Navy chief, Admiral Sunil Lanba, on Saturday paid homage and laid a wreath at the 'Shaheed Smarak' at a function organised by the Noida Sanstha on Saturday.

Admiral Lanba said that it was an honour for him to pay tributes to soldiers, airmen and sailors. He assured the families of the dead that the armed forces will continue to steer firmly on the path shown by them in ensuring security of our seaward and landward frontiers.

Noida Shaheed Smarak Sanstha organise annual wreath laying ceremony every year in the month of February.

The Noida Shaheed Smarak is a unique tri-service memorial raised by the Noida township.
